I know some dogs and cats have fun names, wacky names, and obscure names. Pets are named after characters from a fav show, story, or movie and it can reflect an interest that the owner has. Some pets have human names too. Ive had cats named after baseball players, musicians, and scientists. My two cats I have now are named after a secret coal miner society and political group from England and Ireland. This is because when I first got them they hid a lot and it was like an underground society lived in my house. At night, the cat food would be eaten, water would be drank, and the litter box would be used. During the day, there would be no trace that I had cats.
This week is the San Diego Comic-con and it made me think about the animals Ive met who are named after sci-fi characters. Heres a list of names Ive heard of Star Trek and Star Wars pet names.
