Quartier Latin is a lovely spot in the heart of Paris. It is home to a lot of bistros and a number of educational centres. It is home to Sciences Po Paris, Mines Paris Tech, Ecole Normale Superieure and Jussie University. Because of the presence of these educational places, it has been known to be the educational centre of the city. One key area in this district is Metro St. Michel which is a baroque fountain that has been a site of protests in the past.

Quartier Latin has numerous and fascinating crooked streets. Most streets are lined with trees like the popular Place St. Andre des Arts where a lot of French artists gather. While in the area, you might also want to visit the Cluny Museum and the Pantheon. The district has a community of students making it very lively and has a young feel to it.

You can find holiday apartments for rent in Paris in Quarter Latin district for short or long term stay. Read more…

I ♥ live music. Theres something really special about seeing a band up on stage, playing passionately. No matter how crap the band is, if the sound quality is decent, the music just gets me. When I was living and working the American Dream in Boston two years ago, I went to (on average) to two gigs a week. It was a lot, yes, but Boston also got a lot of great bands passing through. And with a pretty nice corporate job, it was fairly easy to afford all my favorite indie bands (and usually a band t-shirt to go along with the show.)

Since travelling abroad (and now living abroad), Ive been to a total of two gigs. Thats two concerts in 18 months. Not quite my best average, Id say. <

In the last twenty years or so the Emirate of Dubai has exploded in wealth and, accordingly, size. In fact, the city began tripling in size in the late sixties and little has happened to slow the development of the city-state of Dubai. As with most other Middle Eastern countries, the UAEs’ wealth can be attributed to oil and scarce else. The Emir of Dubai has made sure to put their wealth to good use and have made their emirate one of the premier destinations in the world. Dubai is full of things to see, do and places to go including some of the most luxurious hotels and resorts in the world. However, while you may want to visit Jumeirah Beach or the Burj Khalifa but do not have the funds to stay on Palm Island, you should still be able to find lodging at an affordable price.

As with any of the vacations that you may take, a trip to Dubai may require some planning. Y Read more…

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and it was a fantastic stay. We stayed in the Frangipani room which a bit cheaper than some of the other options but it is still a great room. We had lots of space and view of the pool.

This hotel is just a short walk to the beach and about a 5-10 minute walk out to shops and restaurants.

The service here is fantastic, they were very helpful in arranging transport and a diving trip up to Tulamben for us.

We stayed at the Villa Kresna in the Lotus suite and I could not have been more pleased. The hotel is a short walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to the shops in Seminyak. The room was huge with a king size bed and a huge sofa. The included breakfast was by order and the mie goreng was one of the better mie gorengs in Indonesia.
